As summer approaches, beauty brands are turning their attention to that most important of products: sunscreen. Here is what's new for the month of May.
Banana Boat
If you're looking to simplify your suncare routine then look no further than Banana Boat, which has launched a new "Banana Boat Simply Protect Sunscreen." Made with 25% fewer ingredients than its other offerings, the sunscreen eschews oxybenzone, parabens, oils and fragrances. The new line will also be offered as lotions and sprays, and in sport, kids and baby formulations.
Hawaiian Tropic
Hawaiian Tropic has sun protection and aftercare covered with its new "Antioxidant Plus" and "Silk Hydration Weightless After Sun." Antioxidant Plus, which is available in SPF 30 and SPF 50, includes green tea extract to protect the skin from free radicals and environmental pollutants, while Silk Hydration Weightless After Sun focuses on intense hydration to prolong tans as well as offering a summery coconut papaya scent.
SkinCeuticals
Fed up with sunscreens that leave a residue? SkinCeuticals has launched "Light Moisture UV Defense SPF 50," a product that is light enough to be used on both the face and the body, but heavy duty enough to protect against UVA and UVB rays.
