Disney had revealed the first glimpse of what its Star Wars theme park expansion will look like, unveiling a rendered artwork on a fence along Big Thunder Trail in Frontierlands at Disneyland, which will eventually serve as an entry point to the Star Wars Lands.
While construction is still underway, the image hints at what the Star Wars Lands will look like once they open at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, and Disneyland in Anaheim, California.
Nestled amongst towering rock formations, trees and jungle-type shrubbery, the scene depicts a thriving port which contains a seemingly familiar architecture of markets, landing zones and buildings, along with some iconic additions including an Imperial Shuttle, a Blockade Runner and the Millennium Falcon, which is expected to be one of the main park rides.
The 14-acre land will be the largest-ever single-themed land expansion at Disneyland Resort, with the Disney Parks Blog to continue dropping updates about the forthcoming attraction, as well as the citizens, aliens and droids who will populate it.
