The fourth day of the ongoing India Couture Week had designers Varun Bahl and Gaurav Gupta showcasing their collection. While Varun Bahl's floral patterns stole the show, Gaurav Gupta's ruffles won the hearts.

Known for his unique approach towards Indian wear, ace designer Bahl showcased his collection titled 'Vintage Garden'. The line-up explored a versatile colour palette; from soft pastels to dark tones including fuchsia and midnight blue. The line was inspired to reinvent heritage silhouettes for young brides. Embroidery, silken threadwork and floral patterns is something the brand swears by and definitely it dominated the collection this time too. Luxurious, feminine and fashion-forward is what describes his line-up the best. The collection comprised of blouses, floor length anarkalis, long skirts for women and achkans, nehru jackets and kurtas for men. Adorned with heavy embroidery and embellished with beads, the outfits created a magic on ramp.

Considering it's Bahl's show, the floral factor had to be there. The ramp was decorated with carnations and pink roses. The front row was taken over by celebrities like Randeep Hooda, Pernia Qureshi and JJ Valaya.

Following Bahl's show on the penultimate day was Gaurav Gupta's presentation titled 'Scape Song'. Inspired by the Game of Thrones series, the show closed with Saiyami Kher walking the ramp. The actress, who'll soon be seen in Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's upcoming film Mirzya, stunned in a pastel blue ensembles adorned with ruffles. Her glittery eyes aced up her look. The lineup explored a glamorous collection of modern Indian gowns, draped sarees and saree lehengas.

The highlight of the show was, however, the multi-layered high-waist skirts and the spectacular ramp decoration that at times stole the attention from the outfits. The colour story ranged from grey, wine, hues of powder pink, white and other English colors that aren't frequently used.

Manav Gangwani and Rohit Bal will draw curtains to ICW 2016 with their collections on Sunday.
