BTS ARMYs Angry As Trucks Calling Suga 'Criminal', Demanding His Removal From Group Spotted In Seoul
Soon after the photos of protest trucks went viral on social media, BTS AMRY members came out in Suga's support.

BTS member Suga landed in a controversy earlier this month when he was accused of drunk driving. Days after, the singer is facing backlash with trucks demanding his removal from the 7-member group have been spotted around Seoul, South Korea. Here’s everything about the controversy you need to know:

Protest Trucks Call Suga ‘Criminal’

As reported by Koreaboo, several trucks were recently seen in Seoul, protesting against Suga and demanding his removal from the globally popular K-pop group. One of the messages on these protest trucks called Suga a ‘criminal’ and read, “Told his fans to be confident, came back to them with a DUI. Drunk driver Suga, D-Day to leave the group is today. 7-1=6. Armys will complete the group. Drunk driver Suga out. Kick Suga out of BTS. We do not need a criminal who deceives fans. Suga, leave the group on your own will before things get uglier.”

Reportedly, the routes of the trucks included the road in front of HYBE – the agency which manages the group.

ARMYs Angry, Come Out In Support of Suga

Soon after the photos of protest trucks went viral on social media, BTS AMRY members came out in Suga’s support. While one of the fans called Suga’s removal demand from BTS ‘absurd’, another urged protesters to ‘stop spreading lies’.

“This is the most absurd thing I’ve seen in a while. Sending trucks is meaningless when the police is doing their investigation. Don’t do something just because you want to,” one of the fans wrote. “Anti fans brought the trucks with notifications to withdraw Suga from the group!!! News said that Army did it! NOOOO!!! Rumors and lies!!!” added another.

Why Is BTS’ Suga Under Fire?

BTS’ Suga came under fire earlier this momnth when it was revealed that he was drunk while riding a scooter. Suga was found fallen on the ground by a few patrolling officers and was taken to the police station. It was reported that when the rapper was tested for alcohol content at the police station, the authorities found 0.227% alcohol in him. As a result, Suga’s licence was revoked.

After the incident, Suga also issued an apology statement which read, “I am deeply sorry and heavy-hearted to come to you with such disappointing news. Last night, after having drinks at a dinner, I rode an electric scooter to go home. With the complacent thought that it was a short distance and without realizing that using an electric scooter while intoxicated is prohibited, I violated traffic laws.”
