Woman held for stealing money

KOCHI: The Ernakulam Central Police on Thursday arrested a woman for stealing money from a parked autorickshaw at the pre-paid autorickshaw stand at the Ernakulam Junction Railway station. Police stated that the accused, Malathy, 38, broke open the dash board of a parked autorickshaw and stole an amount of `2,000 on Wednesday evening. Subsequent enquiry made by the Central Police revealed that Malathy was involved in a similar case in the Harbour Police limits. The accused was later produced in court.
