He is powerful and has guided me through difficult situations. I believe in my family deity – Goddess Mariamman.  It is said in our native village that family deities have lived and died for us; so they’re powerful.Spiritual beliefI don’t believe in any religious practices. To me, there is one superpower which is taking care of us. But somehow, we are selfish towards god. We seek his blessings only when needed. We are so ignorant about our beliefs at times. People pray to god only when they are in misery. This needs to change. We can’t live our lives with such an attitude. God is everywhere and we should pray to him always to live peacefully.Take on miraclesI feel that the fame and awards that I have received so far are miracles. I would like to thank god for giving me a beautiful life.Pilgrimage sitesWhen I first came to Chennai, I lived in Vadapalani. So the only temple I used to visit frequently was Vadapalani Murugan Temple. I have also visited Tiruttani, Tiruchendur, Palani and Swamimalai — four of the six sacred temples of Muruga (Arupadai veedu).
