A quote you might have read in a book, a line in a movie...or just a random statement in a conversation....but sometimes you tend to take one random thought...and make it your own...

I don't even remember where I got mine from...but "You don't have to love people...just to be nice to 'em"...was something I made my own. And thats helped me build bridges, make friends, love what I do....and look forward to social engagements night after night..

Frankly, I don't adore half the people I know, I cant possible be in love with everyone I meet on the job, and no not all my colege buddies are to die for...but being nice has always been a good habbit. At first one fakes it, then one makes it a habbit..and now I think this doze of congeiniality has become such a part of life...that one realises when you walk a mile...people really do walk two in your direction.

You could've had the worst day in your life...but you know you're an emotionally strong person when someone absolutely at random comes up to say hi...and you can carry on that conversation for a few seconds without being totally self absorbed and forgetting that the world may have collapsed around you...

We all have problems. And yes, we can't possibly share our problems with everyone. It's so cliche, I understand perfectly well, but the fact is...there are some people who manage to light up your day each time they show up. A warm hug, a bright smile...chatting about nothing that's concrete...but the fact is... I love the fact that there are people like these who end up being major distractions..and actually tend to take away some of our stress...help us get our mind off our problems for one second...and then they go back to doing their usual...letting us realise in those few seconds...this is not the end of the world..our problem is just that...a problem...and a solution isn't that far off...

It's amazin what people do when they know you mean no harm, that when you greet them in the morning there's nothing more there than an honest "Howz it going" and more importantly ...I love it when people identify that you're glad to see them but you don't really care about their life's story. What works is that there's no pretence...no facade...

And then you realise...you've made so many special friends where you don't shout off a roof proving each others worth to one another....you don't do special gifts and cards to say you care..and you don't really spend a lot of time talking either.....but just that morning smile..day in and day out wins over so many friends...that even though you know you're actually alone in the world...when you really need them..there will always be those friends who didn't go overboard trying to convince you they are here to stay.. you'll find them when you really need to..
