Vigilance Awareness Week at HAL

BANGALORE: On the occasion of Vigilance Awareness Week 2011, employees at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) corporate office, attended the inaugural function at the Nehru Auditorium with P V Deshmukh, Managing Director, MiG Complex as the chief guest.At the programme, a pledge was administered and messages from President Prathibha Patil, Vice President Hameed Ansari, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the Central Vigilance Commission were read out. Marg Darshan, an in-house biannual news magazine published by the Vigilance Department was also released on the occasion.The department, among other initiatives, is trying to spread awareness through the magazine Marg Darshan  and a fortnightly bulletin V2, which covers policy matters on material procurement, maintenance, works and manpower among other issues, stated a press release from the company.  Regular education drive for executives and non-executives in core areas of procurement and dissemination of the initiatives of the Central Vigilance Commission to leverage technology for a transparent and prompt action to fulfil its obligations towards its stakeholders is also being conducted.
