The Department of Management Studies, Vel Tech Multi Tech organised an one-day National Conference on the theme ‘Management Strategies for Changing Business Scenario’ on September 11. The chief guest of the day, Muthu Kumar Thanu, chief HR Officer, TAFE, while delivering the inaugural address, urged the student community to lay emphasis on understanding the fundamentals in their subject areas.
He said that only collision of thoughts would yield productivity. He further added that the it was the role of the teachers to not only teach the right fundamentals to the students but also instil in them a pursuit of innovative thinking as well as character building.
The guest of honour for the function, Srikumar Menon, CEO, Management Learning System, in his speech, highlighted the power of enthusiasm, emotional intelligence and mental focus in defining the success of an individual.
