A man threatened to jump from the fifth floor of the Maharashtra state secretariat Mantralaya in Mumbai on Tuesday. According to sources, the man jumped on the parapet of Mantralaya, prompting immediate action from security and police.

It has been learnt that the man was upset with the officials after his work was not done. The man was seen visiting the Mantralaya several times in the past few days.

Soon after he jumped on the parapet, the officials pursued him and brought him down.

Reportedly, he was rescued by the fire brigade.

In June this year, a man attempted suicide by jumping from the upper floor of Mantralay. However, he safely landed on the installed nets that are designed to prevent such incidents. Police reached the site and rescued the man.

In 2018, a convict who was on parole committed suicide by jumping off from the fifth floor of the Maharashtra state secretariat Mantralaya in Mumbai.

In the similar year, a 32-year-old jobless man also attempted suicide outside the building.
