Two workers drown in tank

HYDERABAD: Two workers of a private agro refinery in Mankhal Industrial Development Area ( IDA) drowned in a water tank on Friday.According to the Maheshwaram police, there was a 15-ft tank on the premises of Saraiwala Agro Refinery to supply water to the effluent treatment plant.Balaji Swamy (21) and Lakshman (20) entered the tank to clean it. While Balaji was drowning, Lakshman tried to rescue him. But he also drowned in his attempt.Three other workers retrieved them from the tank.The duo died while being shifted to hospital. The Maheshwaram police registered a case.
