Two Key Accused Surrender Before CBI

KOCHI: The key accused in smuggling electronic goods through the Cochin International Airport surrendered before the Central Bureau of Investigation on Tuesday. The surrendered were first accused Rajar Ali and second accused Kajah Moitheen of Burma Bazar in Chennai. Rajar and Kajah were involved in a gang which smuggled mobile phones and cameras worth crores of rupees in consignments from Singapore.A probe by Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) had revealed the involvement of customs officials in the smuggling. The CBI had arrested M Muhammed Sultan, an electronics trader, from Chennai on Monday.
