HYDERABAD: With the Telangana heat subsiding and employees resuming their duties after 42 days of strike, ministers from Telangana region too are likely to reoccupy their offices in the Secretariat from this weekend. For over two months, most ministers from the region have been working from home as the Telangana employees were up in arms against them attending duties at the Secretariat.During a meeting with chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his camp office Tuesday night, the ministers from Telangana region are learnt to have agreed to participate in the government welfare programmes including the second phase of Rachabanda which will commence on November 2.They also agreed to attend the Cabinet meeting to be held on October 29 at the Secretariat, when the state Cabinet will meet after nearly four months.Sources said that the chief minister, who convened the meeting, is learnt to have emphasized the need for ministers to actively participate in the Rachabanda programme and other welfare programmes during the month of November which has been declared as Welfare Month. He reportedly assured the ministers that there would not be any obstruction from Telangana employees as they have already resumed work. All the ministers from Telangana except Ponnala Lakshmaiah and P Shanker Rao attended the meeting and assured to extend support to the chief minister. However, the Telangana ministers are still hesitant about participating in the Andhra Pradesh Formation Day celebrations on November 1 and reportedly told the chief minister not to pressurize them in this regard.
