Surjeet hospitalised with allergic reaction

New Delhi: Veteran CPI(M) leader Harkishen Singh Surjeet was on Saturday hospitalised following liver infection.

CPI(M) General Secretary Prakash Karat told PTI that he was admitted to Noida Metro hospital on Saturday afternoon with "some infection and allergic reaction" in his liver. "He is much better now", Karat added.

Polit Bureau member Sitaram Yechury, who visited the hospital, said he is "absolutely alright now". He said Surjeet was hospitalised as doctors felt the infection could spread.
