Suresh Chandra Panda bereaved

BHUBANESWAR:  Kamala Panda, mother of senior IAS officer Suresh Chandra Panda, passed away here on Monday. She was 79.Panda, a native of Baramba under Cuttack district, was popular for her religious and social activities. While she was a source of inspiration for the establishment of the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple on Tankapani Road, Panda also funded education of students from economically weaker sections.She is survived by five sons and a daughter. Her husband Nityananda Panda, an eminent teacher, had pre-deceased her.Panda’s last rites were performed at Swargadwar in Puri.
