SSP warns anti-socials

PUDUCHERRY: Senior Superintendent of Police V J Chandran has warned that anti-social elements in the Union Territory will be dealt with an iron hand.The SSP, who has been given charge of Law and Order, said his aim was to ensure residents and tourists a ‘peaceful Puducherry’.Talking to Express, he said he had  instructed his subordinate officials to take stern action against anti-socials.Chandran visited four police stations under the Grand Bazar and Orleanpet circles here on Tuesday. He was accompanied by SP N T Sivadasan. Chandran, who was with the Police Headquarters, warned history-sheeters that action would be taken against them under various Acts in place in the UT.
