Kishtwar: The parents of a youth, who has been detained for purportedly sending the HuJI email claiming responsibility for Wednesday's blast outside the Delhi High Court, have claimed that their son is innocent and "not involved at all" in the incident.
"Our son is innocent. He is not at all involved in such an action," Mustaq Ahmed Sheikh, father of Sohaib, told reporters in Kishtwar on Saturday.
Mustaq and his wife said that investigation must be initiated against their son and he should be hanged if found involved in the matter.
The BA first year student was picked up on Friday after a three-hour search at a college in Kishtwar and whisked away to Global Cyber Cafe for interrogation by a joint team of police, NIA and cyber experts led by Deputy Inspector General (Kishtwar-Doda-Ramban range) Muneesh Sinha.
The others who were picked up and interrogated in this regard included Global Cyber cafe owner Mehmood Aziz Khawja, his brother Majid Aziz, Manager Ashwami, Imran, Ashiq Hussain and Sunny.
Investigators have traced the HuJI email claiming responsibility for the blast outside the Delhi High Court to a cyber cafe in Kishtwar and on Saturday detained five persons in this connection including the cafe owner.
The email was sent from a cyber cafe in Kishtwar from the address [email protected]. The outfit had on Wednesday claimed responsibility for the blast outside the Delhi High Court which killed 13 people.
