VISAKHAPATNAM: Residents of Buchirajupalem on Monday found a skull, suspected to be that of a 10 year old girl T Lakshmi, who had gone missing a month ago. They found books, school uniform and stationery items of the girl near the skull. Police are yet to confirm whether the skull is that of the girl. According to police reports, Tedu Lakshmi, a resident of Buchirajupalem area of the city and ClassV Student of Shanthiniketan School, went missing on October 14. Lakshmi's parents lodged a complaint with the Gopalapatnam police station on October 25. Police found that Lakshmi did not go to school at all on the day. But the school authorities marked her present and later changed it, raising suspicions.
On Monday evening, some locals of Buchirajupalem found a skull in an old building, along with Lakshmi's belongings. Cops have launched a search for the other parts of the skeleton.
