SIT to probe into death of Dalit boy in Gohana
According to sources, the SIT team will be visiting the crime scene later on Saturday to begin the investigations. The 15 year old was found dead just hours after he was taken by the police on suspicions of stealing a pigeon.

Haryana: An SIT team has been formed to probe the mysterious death of a 15-year-old Dalit boy, who was charged with theft of a pigeon and was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Haryana's Gohana town.

According to sources, the SIT team will be visiting the crime scene later on Saturday to begin the investigations. The 15 year old was found dead just hours after he was taken by the police on suspicions of stealing a pigeon. The boy's parent's allege that he died in police custody, while the Haryana Chief Minister has stated that it is a case of suicide. Two police officers have been booked for the boy's murder.

Condemning the incident, Home Minister Rajnath Singh said, "I spoke to Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar regarding the incident. He has taken cognisance of that and is taking all appropriate measures."

The incident took place just a few days after two Dalit children were burnt alive in Faridabad's Sunped village.

The Haryana government has come under attack over the two gruesome incidents with opposition training its guns towards the Chief Minister. And the controversial statements from senior BJP leaders is only adding more fuel to the fire.
