New Delhi: A Special Vigilance Court will hear the bail application of controversial RJD MP Sadhu Yadav on Monday.

He has been charged with irregularities in the use of crores of rupees meant for flood relief in Bihar.

Sadhu Yadav, who is the brother-in-law of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, had surrendered before the special vigilance court after the Supreme Court rejected his application for anticipatory bail.

Yadav is a Lok Sabha MP from Gopalganj.

On Saturday, RJD had alleged a threat to Sadhu Yadav's life who is currently lodged in Beur Central Jail.

RJD Chief General Secretary Ramkripal Yadav alleged that Sadhu Yadav, brother of former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, was denied facilities as per the jail manual and was kept along with dreaded criminals in the jail.

He alleged the jailed leader was being mentally tortured by the jail administration and he had been denied the facilities admissible to an MP inside the jail.

Sadhu Yadav surrendered in a Patna court last Monday.
