Indore: A sum of Rs 18 crores would be spent to modernise a baffle shooting range and setting up of an Electronic Scoring Target System at the BSF Revti Range here in the next three years, a top official said on Friday.
The BSF would spend Rs 10 crore on modernisation of 500km baffle range, while Rs 8 crore on setting up an Electronic Scoring Target System of international standards under a project funded by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, the DIG BSF and Commandant at Central School of Weapons, Rakesh Sharma told reporters here.
Though the Revti range was fully equipped for shooting games and training but its modernisation was in the offing and it would be completed in the next three years, the DIG claimed.
Central School of Weapons and Tactics' trained shooting champions have represented India in all national and international games, including Olympics and Commonwealth Games, he said.
