Realtor robbed of gold, cash

Hyderabad: Three masked miscreants robbed a realtor of cash and gold after threatening him and his friends with swords at Shamshabad on Sunday.According to police, the trio entered the cellar of an under-construction apartment near the Shamshabad MRO office around 8.30 p.m where the building owner, Chandrasekhar and his two friends, Tajuddin and Gore, were watching television.They threatened them with swords and forced Chandrasekhar to give away the 18-tola gold ornaments, they were wearing and Rs 70,000 they were carrying.They also took away the mobile phones of the trio.On alerted by Chandrasekhar, police launched a search for miscreants and also alerted neighbouring police stations to look out for the absconding persons. Police suspect persons known to the trio might have been involved in the offence and that they wore masks to conceal their identity.
