Ramakrishnan is CPM state secretary

NAGAPATTINAM: G Ramakrsihnan has been re-elected the secretary of Tamil Nadu unit of the CPM. A resolution to this effect was passed at the 20th State conference of the party at Nagapattinam. Along with him, 79 others were elected members of the state council and 15 more to the state working committee. The conference urged the Government to improve basic infrastructure in all villages and grant more powers to local bodies. The state government should allot 30 per cent of its revenue to develop local bodies. It should urge the cvnetre to allot due share of electricity to TN from the central pool. The government should take steps to get electricity from private power plants at nominal rates, urged another resolution.
