BANGALORE: A silent protest was held at Mysore bank circle by Auto Rickshaw Driver’s Union demanding an increase in the auto fare “The auto fares should be increased owing to the ever increasing price of the LPG, that runs autos along with the inflation affecting the regular life of the auto drivers and their families,” said BV Ragavendra, chief Secretary of the association. He also appeal to the Deputy Commissioner, NK Aiyappa to take the issue seriously  which has not yet been addressed by the authorities.The outcry spreading across the city had around 150 participants who actively took part in the holler. The association has around 22,000 members demanding the hike from minimum fare to Rs24 along with an increase in the waiting charges amounting to 33 paise per minute which was 1 re per 15 minutes.
