BANGALORE: The Central Crime Branch sleuths of the women and narcotic squad have rescued three women from a prostitution racket.Two have been arrested in connection with the racket.The accused Amit Kumar (22) and Ravi Kumar are natives of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.Police said the accused were running prostitution at a rented house in Koramangala.They and two others used to bring women from Mumbai, Kolkata and Uttar Pradesh, promising them jobs in the city and forced them into prostitution.“The accused had also house arrested three women and had forced them into prostitution. After inquiring the three women, arrangements were made to send them to their places. Police said Goutham was kidnapped on May 16. A gang of five had stopped his car and abducted him.The kidnappers had taken him to Bangarpet and demanded `2 crore from his father, finally settling for `15 lakh. Goutham was released the next morning after his car driver gave the ransom amount to the kidnappers.The kidnappers had warned him not to report the matter to police. However, a few days ago the abductors contacted him and demanded more money, threatening him with life. This prompted Goutham to tell about his kidnapping to police.Reportedly, Attibele police have detained three persons regarding the incident.
