HYDERABAD: President Pratibha Patil arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday on a six-day visit to the state. She was accorded a ceremonial reception on her arrival at the Begumpet airport by a special Indian Air Force plane at around 12.30 p.m. Governor ESL Narasimhan and his wife Vimala Narasimhan, chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, deputy chief minister C Damodar Rajanarasimha, ministers P Lakshmaiah, J Geeta Reddy, M Mukesh Goud, former chief minister K Rosaiah, and chief secretary S V Prasad were among those who received her. Pratibha Patil then left for Rashtrapati Nilayam, the official retreat of the President in Bollarum where she would be staying during her visit.The President will participate in an interactive session with students of Indian School of Business on July 4 and will visit Bharat Dynamics Limited on July 5. She will leave for Tirupati on July 6 where she will address a seminar on ‘Women Empowerment’. On July 7, the President will inaugurate Annadanam Complex in Tirumala and leave for Mumbai in the evening.
