Prabhu Dayas seaman remanded

ALAPPUZHA: Amabalappuzha Judicial First Class Magistrate V Udayakumar remanded Mayur Virendra Kumar, the seaman of MV Prabhu Daya, in judicial custody for 14 days. A police team led by CI P V Baby brought Mayur in the court at 5 pm. The Congress and Youth Congress activists shouted slogans and tried to barge into the court compound.  However, the police locked the gate and prevented the activists from entering the compound. Earlier, police officials, including DySP K Maheshkumar,  questioned Mayur in the police camp and completed the formalities. He was sent to the Alappuzha Subjail.
