New Delhi: Congratulatory messages poured in from various corners with statesmen and veteran politicians hailing the efforts of Child's Rights activist Kailash Satyarthi upon winning the Nobel Peace Prize.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Satyarthi and added that the entire nation is proud of him. Modi also tweeted that Kailash Satyarthi has devoted his life to a cause that is extremely relevant to the entire humankind. "I salute his determined efforts," Modi said.
Vice-President Hamid Ansari also congratulated Kailash Satyarthi. Satyarthi is the eight Indian to win a Nobel Prize.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi also congratulated Kailash Satyarthi upon winning the Noble Prize, adding that it is a moment of immense pride for the entire nation, and that Satyarthi rightfully deserved this recognition for his tremendous contribution. She also extended her good wishes and congratulated Ms Malala Yusufzai, the co-recipient and said that the awards had brought glory to entire South Asia.
