In view of the severe power crisis prevailing in the state, the state government has decided to establish permanent mechanism to achieve expected energy savings. The steps will be taken through energy conservation and efficiency measures that would provide some relief to the consumers.
As a part of this permanent mechanism, the state government will involve all key government departments like Energy, MAUD, agricultural, cooperatives, industries, panchayat raj etc to achieve targeted energy conservation.
Chief Secretary, Minnie Mathew, explained the measures during the teleconference on Energy Conservation and Efficiency measures held on Saturday with energy department officials.
