HYDERABAD: An elderly person was found dead in his house at Punjagutta on Tuesday. Police suspect the person might have died four or five days back. The deceased, Mohammed Ziyauddin Khan (68), was a landlord residing at Uma Nagar in Punjagutta. For the past 20 days, Khan’s neighbours did not notice him venturing out of the house. On Tuesday, they found a foul smell emanating from his house and alerted the police who broke open the doors and found Khan lying dead next to his bed.Khan was single and lived alone in an independent house in Uma Nagar. As he has no immediate kin, his relatives were informed. Police registered a case under Section 174 (suspicious death) and shifted the body to Gandhi hospital.
