THIRUAVANANTHAPURAM: The family of Sister Mary Ancy, who was found dead under suspicious conditions in the water tank at a convent here a few days ago, has filed a complaint to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy alleging that police inquiry was proceeding in the wrong direction. In the complaint, the family alleged that the police were showing unnecessary haste in closing the case file by pronouncing the death as a case of suicide on the ground that the nun was deeply depressed owing to some allergic disease she had. However, there was still mystery about the death. The nun’s body was found inside the water tank which was closed using a heavy lid. It was impossible for the nun to remove the concrete lid of the water tank which weighed at least 15 kg, the family alleged. Her family has also filed complaints to Thiruvananthapuram Range IG Padmakumar.
