Mumbai: The South African model who alleged that she was gangraped in Mumbai on December 31, has positively identified her attackers.

According to an FIR filed by the model’s counsel, the two accused — Sunil Morpani and Suresh Krishnani — accosted her at a pub called Avalon in Vile Parle, Mumbai.

Her counsel, Falguni Brahmbhatt, alleges that the model ignored them and went to the bar to have a drink. According to the model, her drink was doctored with while she was in the bathroom.

The two men had offered to drop her home, as she felt sick, but instead drove to a parking lot where they repeatedly raped her and beat her with a belt.

The parking lot is about a 100 yards from the Vile Parle police station. The men then dropped her off outside the Lokhandwala complex, in the suburb of Andheri.

The pub is located right next to the high-security Mumbai airport and the police station is just 200 metres away.

The model in her drugged state kept asking them who they were, in response to which one of the men threw a visiting card at her.

The name on the visiting card was Aditya M but the mobile phone number was traced to Sunil Morpani.

In an identification parade at the Vile Parle police station on Thursday, the model positively identified the two men.

After she had filed an FIR, she was taken to the Nagpada police hospital for check-up, where rape was confirmed. The doctors also said that the marks on her body suggested she had been beaten with a belt.

The two men have been arrested.
