The audience are not quite happy with his performance of late, and are waiting for a Mani Ratnam's out an out comeback. Seems like that is exactly what is working on, from his Kodaikanal house. The buzz is that Mani Ratnam has signed up with Rensil D'Silva for his next project.
It is to be remembered that back in 1996, Mani wanted to do a project with Rensil, titled 'Lajjo', casting Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor but for some reason, the project was shelved. However, Rensil has penned down the dialogues in 'Raavan' and is one of the script writers for 'Kurbaan'
The current project, according to the K-town cuckoo, is based on Indo-Pak partition, with a love story in the backdrop. Well it suddenly rings a bell for the movie 'Bombay'? So Let us hope to see a triumphant return for the ace director. The official announcement on this project is still awaited.
