HYDERABAD: Leaders of the Telangana NGOs Union has made it clear that nothing other than formation of a separate state will be acceptable to the people of Telangana and demanded immediate introduction of a bill on Telangana in Parliament.
Speaking to newsmen after the TNGO state executive committee's meeting here on Thursday, union president K Swamy Goud said constitution of a second states reorganisation commission or grant of a special financial and development package for the region was no alternative to complete statehood for the region.Warning that Telangana employees would again resort to an agitation if the government failed to resolve their problems in the next 15 days, he asked the government to honour its promises made to the employees for them to call off the strike which was launched in support of Sakala Janula Samme for Telangana. He wanted immediate withdrawal of police cases registered against employees during the strike and accused the government of conspiring to cause in a rift between employees and teachers.

Later in the day, the Telangana NGOs leaders met chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at the CM's camp office and urged him to implement all the promises made to the employees. They also sought one month's salary as advance to contract employees working on outsourcing basis and an early decision on providing health cards to the staff.
