BERHAMPUR: Normalcy returned to Kodala on Saturday with vehicular traffic on roads and market buzzing with activity.Tension over shifting of Eregola community was palpable with people still apprehensive about police arrest despite withdrawal of forces. Meanwhile, the district administration has initiated measures for financial assistance to the families of Eregola community whose houses were damaged in the attack. The families have been temporarily lodged at a kalyan mandap in Kodala. A team of BJD leaders, including Ganjam BJD president Subash Maharana and Berhampur MLA Ramesh Chandra Chou Patnaik visited Kodala and appealed to the villagers to assist the administration in restoring peace in the strife-torn town. They also allayed their fears about any further arrests.
