Islamabad: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf has said that corrupt politicians have no future in the country as long as he is in power.
Addressing Members of Parliament here, Musharraf said those accused of corruption in the past would not come to power again, as they had transferred national wealth to foreign banks and brought the country to the brink of an economic crisis.
Expressing the hope that the next government would continue the policies and reforms introduced by the present government, Musharraf was quoted by the Dawn as saying that the present policies and reforms had brought a long lasting impact on the national economy.
However, he acknowledged that price hike and unemployment were the major problems the present government was facing.
