West Central railway (WCR) is launching a 40- day awareness campaign apprising people through SMSs how to cross the unmanned railway crossing. The campaign would be launched from Wednesday.  SMSs would be sent to people especially of those who have to cross unmanned railway crossing daily.

Indore: Power agency to install kiosk machines to pay electricity bills

Citizens may not have to wait in long queues to pay their electricity bills as the western region power distribution company is planning to install 24X4 bill payment machines at different locations in the city. The company had installed a few machines earlier also but they became defunct and the contract given to a private company expired. The company has floated fresh tenders for the purpose.

Indore: Six army officers to join IIT's PhD programme

For the first time in its four- year history, the Indian Institute of Technology Indore (IIT-I) has registered army officers for the PhD programme for which an orientation was held on Monday. IIT-I held the orientation for all the postgraduate and Ph. D students at its PACL campus in Mhow. Officials of the institute said that IIT has offered Ph. D admission to military personnel. Six army officers have joined the Ph. D programme in computer science (3), electrical engineering (2) and mechanical engineering (1), officials said.

Indore: Students miss admission in PG courses due to late UG results

BCA sixth semester result has left the students disappointed as they were late to produce the mark sheet for seeking admission in MCA by three days. The DAVV announced the sixth semester BCA result on Monday, two days after the students missed the opportunity to seek admission. Although MCA (lateral entry) admission is still continuing , registration process closed on Tuesday. Students are not keen on applying for the course as they are unsure about the job scenario after pursuing this course.
