Nayantara to play Vidya in 'Kahaani' remake

Sekhar Kammula, producer-director of Telugu film 'Life is beautiful' is now ready to remake Hindi movie 'Kahaani' in Telugu and Tamil.

'Kahaani' was released in 2012, written and co-directed by Sujoy Ghosh, the film featured Vidya Balan in a pregnant role in search of her missing husband in the city of Kolkata, the story was a suspense thriller. Vidya Balan received many awards for her performance including Filmfare for best actress.

Now, Sekhar Kammula is all set to recreate the magic in Tamil and Telugu film industry by casting Malayalam actress Nayantara in the role of Vidya Balan. The director had intially thought of Anushka for the role but, now it is official that Nayantara is chosen to play this role.

Sekhar says that "the movie will not be exact replica of the movie, but, it will have some changes to suit the Telugu audience."
