JAIPUR: A four-member Mumbai police team traced a murder accused to Arei village under Jajpur police limits and nabbed him on Tuesday night. Jitendra Sahu (25), police said, was wanted in the murder of an 84-year-old woman in a Mumbai apartment. Sahu used to supply milk in Gurla apartment under Matunga police limits in Mumbai for two years. Among his customers was the 84-year-old woman, whom he had been scheming to murder. His plans worked out on September 9. On finding the old woman alone, Sahu along with his accomplice entered her room and killed her. The two robbed 40 grams of gold ornaments, some cash and fled to Arei, informed Alok Ranjan Roy, IIC of Jajpur police station. After the murder, police launched an investigation and identified the accused. Matunga police, Mumbai, set out in search of Sahu after his accomplice, Ashok Jaisuar (32) was arrested from Jodhpur in Uttar Pradesh last week. Basing on Ashok’s statement, Mumbai police with their Jajpur counterparts nabbed Sahu. Police also recovered the gold which Jitendra sold in Jajpur. The ornaments were recovered from receiver Sandip Mekap, a businessman in Jajpur city, said Roy.He was produced in a local court after which Mumbai police team took him on remand from the court on Wednesday.
