Mumbai airport gets threat call
An anonymous caller rang up and told the staff that the airport will be blown up before February 2.

Mumbai: Security personnel at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai on late Saturday night went into a tizzy after a bomb threat call was received.

An anonymous caller rang up and told the staff that the airport will be blown up before February 2.

The police are investigating the call records, the spokesman added, but refused to share any further details.

"The Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC) of the airport reviewed the call at 7.30 pm and concluded that it was non-specific," the spokesperson said further.

When contacted an airport police official confirmed that his station has been intimated about the terror threat, but refused to share more information.

DCP Virendra Mishra also confirmed that there was "information call" at the airport.
