BANGALORE: Intermittent showers continued to lash the city on Wednesday with some parts receiving moderate to heavy rainfall in the evening.Due to the rain accompanied by strong winds, trees fell at five locations, including Journalists' Colony, Gavipuram Extention, Prashanth Nagar and Magadi Road. The peak hour traffic in the evening was also thrown out of gear on busy stretches including MG Road, Mysore Road, Cauvery Theatre junction, in Malleswaram, Gavipuram, and Guttahalli. The ordeal might continue for a couple of more days with the weatherman predicting more rains. "It's because of a trough extending from the Orissa Coast to Tamil Nadu. There will be a moderate rain and strong winds are also expected over the next two or three days," said a Met department official adding that there would not be uniform rainfall across the city. On Wednesday too, as many parts of the city registered moderate to heavy rainfall, areas like Bommanahalli, Dasarahalli, Mahadevapura and Yelahanka did not get any rain.
