BANGALORE: Hitting back at the BJP's demand for his recall, Governor H R Bhardwaj retorted that he will not leave Karnataka without completing his work.
"I did not come here on my own nor will I go back from here leaving my responsibilities midway," Bhardwaj addressed reporters here after conferring University of Mysore's honorary doctorate (posthumous) on Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar here on Monday. When asked whether he was hurt over the Centre's rejection of his recommendation for imposing President's rule in Karnataka, Bhardwaj said: "It is my duty to send reports to the President every month. There is no question of me being hurt. Do you think I have been given a big bungalow, good salary, staff and other perks, all to do nothing?"

On the firstever BJP government completing three years in office in the state, the Governor wished them heartily.

What's your reaction?
