The flight has been suspended till further arrangements are made by the airlines.
New Delhi: About 150 passengers of Turkmenistan Airlines plane had a miraculous escape at Amritsar Airport on Monday after one wing of the aircraft brushed against the airport building during take-off.
The plane was to head for Turkmenistan capital Ashqabad.
The incident occurred around 1130 hours when the plane was heading for the runway from the boarding bay, PTI quoted Airport Director Arun Talwar as saying.
He said the plane was stopped forthwith and all 150 passengers and the crew members were asked to disembark.
The damaged Boeing 757 flight of the airlines was sent for repair after the incident and the passengers were asked to wait until further arrangements were made by the airlines.
