Mining expo begins

BANGALORE: Minister for Mines, Government of Andhra Pradesh, Galla Arunakumari inaugurated  a three-day mining exploration convention and trade show in the city on Monday. The event organised by the Federation of Indian Mineral Industries, in association with Prospectors and Developers Association of India, is aimed at attracting investment, state-of-the-art technology and providing an international platform for interaction.The convention includes sessions discussing policy initiatives, investment potential and finance opportunities in the Indian mining sector. It will also feature presentations by state government representatives from Karnataka, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand. The event is being held at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre located on Tumkur road.
