Meal distribution scheme launched

NEDUMBASSERY: As a humanitarian gesture, Sadhujana Seva Kendram of Sree Veera Hanuman Temple in Athani has organised a meal distribution scheme to inpatients of the Community Health Centre in Chengamanad. The patients would be served breakfast, lunch and supper, Seva Kendaram officials said.The project was inaugurated by K P Dhanapalan MP on Thursday. Block panchayat president M K Shaji presided over the meet. Anwar Sadath MLA honoured social activist Gopan Chengamanad by presenting a memento to him. Sarala Mohan, Jaya Muraleedharan, P C Suresh Kumar, Francis Tharayil, Lissy Shaju, K K Nabeesa, Dilip Kaprassery, Rukhiya Abdul Salam and Smiji George spoke.
