While the Corporation is keeping its fingers crossed over the transportation of machinery to a tension-gripped Vilappil panchayat on Friday, Mayor K Chandrika is hospital-ridden and away from the hustle. Dengue fever has been confirmed for the Mayor, who has been admitted to the General Hospital here for treatment. Fever-ridden for the last three days, Chandrika had given her blood samples for taking the platelet count two days ago. With dengue being confirmed, she got admitted to the hospital on hartal day.
