KOCHI: The shadow wing of the Kochi City Police have arrested a person for using fake number plate on his car. Sanal Kumar, Thekkumkattil House, Pinarmunda, was arrested by a joint team comprising Shadow police and Ambalamedu Police at Padathikkara near Pinarmunda on Monday.The police have also seized a Hyundai Santro car on which Sanal Kumar was using the fake number plate. He had been using the fake number ‘KL-40 B 6800’ for the last three and a half years. According to a press release by the police, “The vehicle is not insured and there is no RC book for the vehicle. Also, he has not paid the tax.”Sanal, who was produced before the Judicial First Class Magistrate (JFCM) court, Kolenchery, has been remanded for 14 days. He was arrested by a police team led by District Crime Records Bureau assistant commissioner Amos Mammen. The police team also included Ambalamed SI Aravindan and Shadow Police SI Mohammed Nisar.
