New Delhi: Nokia has launched its first-ever dual-SIM Lumia smartphone in India. Named the Lumia 630, the phone will come in both single SIM and dual SIM variants. The single SIM Lumia 630 is priced at Rs 10,500, while the dual SIM Lumia 630 will be available for Rs 11,500.

The phone will be available in India starting May 16. According to the company, the dual SIM Lumia 630 will first be available in India.

Powered by Windows Phone 8.1, the Lumia 630 features a 4.5-inch display (854 x 480), 5-megapixel auto focus camera and 8GB of expandable internal storage. Under the hood is a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon processor and 512MB of RAM. The phone has 8GB of internal memory that can support up to 128GB of microSD card. The phone comes with a 1830mAh battery.

The downside here is that it has 512GB of RAM and lacks front camera.

The Lumia 630 will be available in five colours - white, black, green, orange, yellow - with changeable shells. The phone will take head-on likes of Moto G, HTC Desire and Samsung's Duos.

As per IDC, the affordable smartphone segment is driving smartphone adoption in the country, where homegrown firms like Micromax and Karbonn have a strong presence. Last year alone, the market grew three-fold to 44 million devices from 16.2 million units in 2012. ####
