Preparations for the vote counting of Lok Sabha elections have been completed in Rajasthan where the counting is to start at 8 am amid tight security on Friday.
Polling in 25 parliamentary constituencies of the state took place in two phases on April 17 and 24 in which 63 per cent of 4.29 crore electors cast their votes.
Elaborate security arrangements will be in place in and around the counting centres and only authorised persons will be allowed to enter the premises after checking, officials said.

In the state capital, two counting centres have been set up in Commerce and Rajasthan college for the counting of votes of Jaipur and Jaipur rural constituencies, district election officer Krishna Kunal said.
A total of 25 counting centres have been set up for the counting of votes of as many parliamentary constituencies.

Counting centre for Tonk-Sawaimadhopur, Jhalawar-Baran, Karauli-Dholpur has been set up in Tonk, Jhalawar and Karauli district headquarters respectively, according to CEO office.
A total of 320 candidates including 25 each from BJP and Congress contested the elections.
27 female candidates including Union Ministers Chandresh Kumari and Girija Vyas and sitting MP Jyoti Mirdha were also in the fray for the elections for 16th Lok Sabha.

Independent against BJP's Colonel Sona Ram and Congress' sitting MP Harish Choudhary.
Ram was earlier with Congress. Jaswant had raised the banner of revolt after he was denied ticket and was expelled from BJP.

Congress and BJP were in a direct fight on 12 seats which include Jaipur, Ajmer, Banswara, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Jhalawar, Chittorgarh, Jodhpur, Pali, Rajsamand, Udaipur and Kota.
A triangular contest was witnessed in Barmer, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Ganganangar, Jalore, Nagaur, Sikar, with Congress and BJP candidates facing challenge from rebels candidates, BSP, Rajasthan Loktantrik Party (a joint front of five national parties), AAP or Independents.
Congress's one of the senior leaders and nominee C P Joshi and the Olympic medal winner Rajyvardhan Singh Rathore are praying their god for favourable results from Jaipur-rural seat till EVMs would be opened. Joshi is a sitting MP from Bhilwara.
LS poll battle would be litmus test for PCC president and Union Minister Sachin Pilot, who contested from Ajmer, had faced the tough battle against BJP Minister Sanwarlal Jat.
BJP had won all the seats under this parliamentary constituency in the Assembly polls in December last.
In Jhalawar, Dushyant Singh, son of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and a sitting MP, expecting a hat trick against Congress' Pramod Jain Bhaya.

Former cricketer Mohd Azharuddin who faced a triangular contest against BJP's Sukhbir Singh Jaunpuria, and NPP's Jagmohan Meena (brother of KL Meena)would also be a big figure poll-result race on Tonk-Sawaimadhopur seat.
BJP's sitting MLA Bahadur Singh Koli contested against Congress's Suresh Yadav who has support of Bharatpur's royal scion and sitting MLA Vishwendra Singh.
Twelve contestants of this seat challenging each others on castelines.
Besides Congress and BJP's 25 candidates each in fray, BSP's 23, CPM and CPI three each, NCP one, Independents 117 and others 123 candidates restlessly waiting for the poll outcome.
In last 2009 Lok Sabha polls, Congress had won 20 out of 25 seats, while the BJP bagged four and independent one.
