It has been two years since the King of Pop, Micheal Jackson passed away.His quintessential dance moves united his fans in the singular beat that was his music.Known for his artistic expression and didactic songs, the world still grieves the loss of the great entertainer and will probably never forget him.City based dance group, Rams Step Up paid tribute to the music legend on his 53rd birth anniversary on Monday evening.Director of Rams Step Up, Rammurthy along with eight of his instructors came up with the idea “He Lives” - a dance tribute that would unite dancers and fans.Said Srinath, an instructor at the studio, “We miss Micheal Jackson a lot, he is in our hearts and he has been an inspirational idol to all of us.” Around 140 dancers including instructors, dancers from the studio and others who were interested in being a part of the tribute moved to a mash-up of popular Micheal Jackson tunes like Smooth Criminal, Dangerous, Beat It and History-The Earth with voice overs of Micheal Jackson and of media channels announcing his death.The dancers practised for three sessions before the final showcase at Prasad’s Imax.The enthusiastic group got the crowd in the mood too, with everyone shouting “WE LOVE Micheal JACKSON” at the end.Furkhan who was in the audience, said, “Being a huge Micheal Jackson fan, I am so happy to see people still remember him especially on his birthday.I hope the world never forgets him and believe that he is still alive.” Vijay, who was part of the troupe, said, “I am so happy that Rams Step Up conducted this event.We are here to gather the fans of Micheal Jackson, it shows the talent of entertainment.” The showcase on the whole proved that Micheal Jackson despite his death, is still very much a living part of many peoples lives.
